A 2m roll suits a space up to 2m across: side returns, patios, balconies, small courtyards, dog runs, play areas and the strip between a path and a fence. For a 1.8m by 6m side return you order 2m by 6.1m and lay it in one piece.

If the space is wider than 2m, go to the 4m wide artificial grass roll rather than joining two 2m pieces; a join in the middle of a narrow area is the one everyone notices. The roll is cut to the length you enter, so you pay for the piece and not the roll. Roughly 2 to 3kg per square metre depending on the pile, so a 2m by 6m piece is 25 to 35kg and one person can carry it. Longer pieces are delivered rolled and are a two-person lift.
