Buy Budget Artificial Grass

Family garden with artificial grass, a play teepee and a fire pit seating area

Our lower priced artificial grass. Shorter pile and a lighter backing than the premium rolls, but the same UV-stabilised yarn and the same 10 year warranty — the saving is in the density, not the durability.

The sensible choice for a small garden, a rental, a play area or a side return. Work out what you need with the room calculator, or read how much grass do I need first.

Five ranges sit in the budget bracket: Rocco 18mm at £7.49 per square metre, Talya 30mm at £8, Dan 38mm at £8.99, Bul 35mm at £9 and Rum 40mm at £10. Cheap artificial grass usually means a thin, flat, single-tone fibre that lies down in a year; ours is the same UV-stabilised yarn and ten-year warranty as the dearer rolls, with the saving in the density rather than the durability. Dan is our most popular grass for that reason. For a fuller, more realistic pile from £11, see the mid range artificial grass.

A 4m by 6m family lawn in Dan is £216 for the grass, delivered free, and about £500 to £600 laid yourself including the base. The cost guide prices three gardens in full and the calculator gives the delivered price for your measurements. Every roll is cut to your length in 2m, 4m and 5m widths, with free samples to check the colour first. Free delivery over £190, 2 to 4 working days.

Frequently asked questions

Which artificial grass is cheapest?

Rocco 18mm at £7.49 per square metre, then Talya 30mm at £8, Dan 38mm at £8.99, Bul 35mm at £9 and Rum 40mm at £10. All five carry the same ten-year UV warranty as the premium rolls.

What is the catch with cheap artificial grass?

Ours has none beyond density: fewer stitches per square metre than the premium rolls, so the pile is a little less full. The yarn, the UV stabilisation and the backing are the same. Cheap grass elsewhere often means flat single-tone fibre that lies down in a year.

Which budget grass looks best?

Rum 40mm at £10 looks far more expensive than it is, and Dan 38mm at £8.99 is the one we sell most: dense for the price, soft enough for children, short enough to clean. Sample both.

How much is a budget lawn all in?

A 4m by 6m lawn in Dan is £216 for the grass, delivered free, and about £500 to £600 laid yourself including the base materials and tool hire. The artificial grass cost guide prices three gardens in full.
