Brown is for a deck that should read as wood at a glance. Teak Brown is the safest of the three and goes with almost any house, hides mud and footprints, and matches a brown-stained fence. Red Brown picks up red brick, terracotta and Mediterranean planting. Chocolate frames a garden rather than blending into it and makes lawns and borders look greener by contrast; it shows dust sooner than the mid-tones and settles a shade towards Teak in its first months. If you are choosing between two, the darker usually lands where you wanted. The colours guide matches each finish to brick, stone and render.

Teak and Chocolate have matching end caps; Red Brown does not, so plan its cut ends to finish under an L-trim or behind a fascia board. Do you sell anthracite composite decking?

Not under that name. Anthracite is a dark grey, and our Grey board is what we send customers who ask for it: a true mid-dark grey that stays grey in every light. Our Black board settles to a deep charcoal after its first summer if you want darker. Both samples are free, so order the pair and hold them against your window frames or fencing.

Is every colour the same price?

Yes. Every finish is £25 for a 3.6m board and £34 for a 4.8m board, about £46 per square metre. The choice is about the house and the garden, not the budget.

Will the colour change once it is outside?

Every composite board lightens slightly over its first three to six months as the surface weathers, then holds for the life of the deck. Black settles to charcoal and Chocolate a shade towards Teak; Grey, Silver and Ash barely move. Buy for the settled colour, and if you are torn between two, choose the darker.

Which colour hides dirt best?

Grey and Teak Brown hide dust, footprints and mud better than any other finish. Black and Chocolate show pale dust and pollen sooner and suit a deck that gets swept. Ash and Silver show mud more but dust less. A brush and soapy water cleans all of them.

Do the trims and cladding come in the same colours?

Fascia boards, L-trims and step edges are made in matching finishes, and end caps at £1.49 each cover Ash, Oak, Teak, Black, Grey and Chocolate. Composite cladding comes in seven of the eight decking colours, so a garden room or boundary wall can match the deck exactly.
