Frequently asked questions
Is composite decking priced per board or per square metre?
Per board, including VAT: £25 for a 3.6m board and £34 for a 4.8m board, in every colour. Boards are 150mm wide, so with the 6mm clip gap that is about £46 per square metre of deck for the boards alone.
How much does composite decking cost per square metre installed?
Boards are about £46 per square metre. A complete deck with frame, clips, trims and fascia is £75 to £95 per square metre in materials, and a fitter adds £40 to £60 per square metre on a prepared base or £70 to £110 where there is groundwork. So £150 to £220 per square metre fitted, all in.
Are all colours the same price?
Yes. Ash, Silver, Grey, Black, Oak, Teak Brown, Red Brown and Chocolate are all £25 for 3.6m and £34 for 4.8m. Red Brown is made in 3.6m only.
Does the price include delivery?
Orders over £190 are delivered free by pallet, kerbside, in 2 to 4 working days. Under £190 delivery is £30. A 3.6m by 3m deck is well over the free delivery threshold.
What is the cheapest way to build a composite deck?
A ground-level deck on an existing patio: composite battens instead of a joist frame, 3.6m boards, hidden clips, and an L-trim on the visible edges. Materials for 3.6m by 3m come to about £780. Doing it yourself over a weekend saves £500 or more against a fitted price.
